Four hotel chains make it onto most ethical list

Four hotels were recognised for their ethical efforts.

Marriot, Rezidor, Wyndham and Kimpton hotel chains were the only four hotel companies to make it onto a most ethical list.

International think tank Ethisphere, chose companies from various categories and all four were chosen as the leading travel providers.

The think tank was made up by a chosen committee of leading lawyers, academics, government officials and leaders.

They were then judged on a number of criteria including innovation that contributes to public wellbeing, industry leadership, ethics and compliance programmes, and corporate citizenship.

Marriott said the award was "testament to Marriott's commitment to doing business with integrity" with Rezidor adding it wanted to "raise the bar for ethical standards within the industry".
