Power Plate had released its Power Plate My7 machine, distributed in the Middle East by Al Kamda General Trading.

The model is the first vibration plate exercise machine to feature ProMOTION resistance technology, which is designed to transfer vibrations more effectively to the user, allowing them to perform a wider range of exercises on the machine.

In another first, the My7 includes an interactive, touch screen video interface allowing users to select from a full range of 250 full body workouts, each designed to focus on different aspects, from abs to upper body.

My7 also allows users to record their progress and workout progression, recognising favourite exercises and recommending workouts depending on progress.

“My7 is brand new and is a great product,” said Carole Aoun, marketing manager, Al Kamda. “One big trend we’re seeing is for acceleration technology — a total body workout for 15 minutes, three times a week and that’s it. And the footprint is very small, so you don’t need huge areas. You can have a small studio with three or four machines, and then you have a big turnover of people and are catering for all their needs in a very effective manner. The My7 really meets this need.”

The machine takes up the same amount of floor space as a standard armchair, and users need only use it for 10-15 minutes, three times a week to benefit from its results.
