A luxury resort currently under development and set across 68.5 hectares of land is set to become Jumeirah Group’s first property in Mauritius, the company has announced.

It has signed a management agreement to operate the luxury resort, located approximately 50km from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, and is set to open it in 2018.

“We are delighted to be expanding our portfolio of hotels and resorts to embrace the beautiful island of Mauritius,” said Jumeirah Group president and CEO Gerald Lawless.

“Our track record in delivering the very best in luxury hospitality, combined with the success of our two other tropical island resorts – Jumeirah Vittaveli and Jumeirah Dhevanafushi in the Maldives – fills us with confidence that our guests will warmly welcome the addition of a property in Mauritius.”
