Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts is searching for a new associate director of business development – UK & Europe Leisure at the Burj Al Arab.
The main purpose of this position is to assist the director of business development in leading the leisure segment in specific geographical accountability, contribute to hotel and departmental objectives.
In order to be considered for this role, candidates must have a minimum of three years’ experience as senior sales manager in the leisure segment, particularly in the UK and rest of the European market in a luxury 5-star hotel.
An advanced level of verbal and written English is required for the role, working with multi-national staff and a second language would be advantageous.
The main duties include:
• Achieve the annually established segment revenue targets and work with the team members to guide them to achieve their targets
• Handle daily and strategic matters relating to leisure segment including, but not restricted to, contracting, key and emerging markets activities, activity and data input in CRM, data input standards, training requirements, etc
• Continually evaluate the markets and their needs, comparing them with existing products and services.
• Maintain market profitability in all revenue areas of the of the hotel-accommodation, F&B, C&B, Spa
• Communicate new or amended processes and market information to relevant departments/colleagues in a timely manner, ensuring they have been understood.
• Assist in recruitment and training process of sales colleagues.
• Set standards, supervise, evaluate and review colleague performance.
