How long how have you been in the hotel industry?

I started my journey at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre as an F&B controller in 2005. I was promoted to procurement manager in 2015.

What area of the hotel are you proud of?

Our property recently expanded its portfolio by adding 196 Royal Club rooms and a massive ballroom. Both expansions were challenging projects, as the management wanted only the best service and products. Every item that went in was a result of extensive research, followed by placing orders with the best competitive rates and suppliers. The refurbishment projects were completed within a year.

Tell us about one of the most successful deals you have worked on?

After taking over the material controller, I amalgamated the requirements of the hotel’s 18 F&B facilities, and was able to secure competitive pricing from different vendors on account of bulk purchases placed.

What does a supplier have to do to impress you?

Quality, consistency, backed with optimum pricing are the three key ingredients which establishes the credibility of the supply chain.
