Amwaj Rotana has received ISO 14001 certification. The certification recognises hotels for best practice in relation to environmental policies.
According to the JBR-based hotel, the Amwaj Rotana had aimed to attain the ISO certification as part of its CSR plan, hoping to reduce the hotel’s impact on the environment.
Amwaj Rotana environmental health and safety manager Raja Mumtaz commented on the certification: “We have increasingly become aware of the impact of our business on the environment and were looking to adopt a good set of principles to apply and follow throughout the course of business.
Mumtaz added: “After numerous months of rigorously conducting, testing and improving our work flow, we are proud to now achieve this level of certification.”
