Amwaj Rotana Jumeirah Beach - Dubai has appointed Jacques Reynders as its new director of recreation.
Reynders has 17 years of experience within the wellness and fitness industry, holds a Diploma in Sports Science, and is also a qualified RPM/body pump instructor, lifeguard, personal trainer and cycle lab endurance instructor.
After working at independent fitness centres, the fitness enthusiast moved to the hospitality industry by joining Rotana as recreation manager in 2005, as part of the opening team of Al Bustan Rotana in Dubai.
He then progressed through the ranks within the company successfully opening Zen the spa and Bodylines Fitness and Wellness Clubs at more than six different Rotana hotels before joining the team at Amwaj Rotana.
In his new role at Amwaj Rotana, Reymders will oversee operational aspects of the gymnasium and recreational facilities, and spearhead campaigns to drive growth of the membership, engagement of hotel guests and relook the current recreational offering.
