Executives from Golden Sands Hotel Apartments travelled to Germany to promote Dubai and develop hospitality links with ‘large numbers’ of arrivals from the country.

German guests are one of the top source markets for Golden Sands Hotel Apartments and the trip was organised to strengthen ties with key partners recognised for their continuous promotion of Dubai and the property to this segment.

General manager Mohammad Khoori and director of sales Nives Deininger shared information about industry developments including packages for the upcoming winter season, in addition to handing trophies of appreciation to several key partners such as Thomas Cook, TUI, Meier’s Weltreisen, Dertour and FTI Touristik.

“We have plenty of opportunities to attract the German market and Dubai is still a popular long haul destination so we should take advantage of this. Although the current political climate in the region and currency issues has impacted the pace of bookings for the winter season, we are still optimistic that we will be able to attract a considerable number of guests from Germany this year,” said Khoori.

“Our partners highlighted that some holiday makers are also waiting to see whether to book due to the fluctuating rates in our city. As the supply of hotels and hotel apartments continues to increase, hotels vie for the incoming leisure business by extending attractive offers at the last minute. Overall, the visit to Germany was successful as it helped ensure constant communication and regular updates from both sides,” added Deininger.
