With the focus of increasing the number of visitors in 2017 by 20%, the Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) has embarked on a roadshow to Germany to promote the emirate as a premier destination, according to an official statement.

The four-day Germany tour from October 24-27, 2016, started in Munich and will be followed by cities of Duisburg, Hanover, Frankfurt, Oberursel and Baden-Baden.

Tour operator FTI group CEO and founder Diemtar Gunz said: “We are very excited to meet with the Emirate of Ajman, and look forward to partner with ATDD by engaging our channels and beyond across several markets, and we are confident that our alliance with ATDD will guarantee an increased number of visits to Ajman as the citizens in Germany will be more aware and attracted to the formidable Ajman beach resorts and coast, especially in the coming holidays”.

ATDD general manager HE Faisal Al Nuaimi said: “We are keen to meet with the key players in the travel and tourism industry in Germany and discuss the latest developments in the sector. We are happy to explore a new cooperation with FTI Group and we look forward to increase our arrivals from Germany by strengthening our partnership and we are confident that these meetings will help spread the word about our Emirate's unique selling points, rich offerings and stunning natural and cultural surroundings.”

Hotels in Ajman recorded around 70,000 guests from Europe during the first half of the year, around 40% of them are from Germany.
