Five candidates have made it on to the shortlist for the Hotelier Middle East Awards HR Person of the Year.

The judges were inundated with entries for the awards, but finally narrowed it down to a handful of nominees whose entries stood out from the rest.

Hassan Ali Hassan Mohsin, Government Relations Officer, Crowne Plaza Bahrain
Hassan is someone who doesn’t say “NO” as long as he is capable to help the employees in need of his assistance. He doesn’t hesitate to extend his duty whenever necessary.

Alena Miatlushka, Training & Personnel Manager, Holiday Inn Downtown Kuwait
Alena Miatlushka is very talented company person who drives for excellence in every initiative or project that she does.

Khalid Basalama, Human Resouces Manager, Intercontinental Dar Al Hijra
His strategic way is encouraging the contributions of others; he listens and builds on suggestions, to create the ownership of next steps among colleagues and helps others gett a strong sense of job satisfaction from contributing.

Nizamuddin A Shaikh, Training Manager, Radhwa Holiday Inn
Over the last two years, has been highly instrumental in streamlining the performance system in the hotel which was one of his major objectives.

Santosh Poudel, Human Resources Coordinator, InterContinental Doha
He has been a very valuable asset to the HR Department, able to handle pressure and support other departments always with a positive attitude.

The winner will be announced at the Hotelier Middle East Awards, held on October 14 at Madinat Jumeirah Resort.
