The Rotana group has revealed plans to open three new Qatar hotels by 2018.
The news follows the launch earlier this year of the City Centre Rotana, the first of two new Rotana hotels planned for Doha in 2016.
Following the launch of the City Centre Rotana, Rotana group will also open the Centro Capital Doha this year.
The 220 key Centro Capital Doha is due to open in the first quarter of 2016. It will operate under Rotana’s affordable lifestyle brand “Centro by Rotana”.
Subsequent launches planned for Qatar, are the Plaza Rayhaan by Rotana Doha and Downtown Arjaan by Rotana Doha.
The 400 key Plaza Rayhaan Doha is expected to open in 2017. The 225 key Downtown Arjaan by Rotana Doha is expected to open in 2018.
The three new hotels add an additional 845 keys to Rotana’s Qatar portfolio, bringing the total up to 1,876 keys.
Commenting on the new Doha pipelines, Rotana COO Guy Hutchinson said: “Qatar currently lacks in affordable business hotels that offer world-class service and comfort to guests, creating a gap in the market that brands like “Centro by Rotana” can look forward to filling.”
