Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights has appointed Vipin Khattar as general manager for the Dubai Healthcare City property.

Khattar joins the Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights directly from his role as GM at the Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh Resort, Egypt.

Khattar has 16 years of hospitality industry experience. He originally joined the Hyatt group in Dubai in October 2002, when he took on the the role as convention sales manager in the pre-opening team for the Grand Hyatt Dubai.

In November 2007, he left Hyatt to join the pre-opening team at Atlantis The Palm, Dubai as director of business development.

In February 2010, Khattar re-joined the Hyatt group, joining the Hyatt Regency Dubai and Galleria as the director of sales and marketing. In May 2011, he returned to the Grand Hyatt Dubai, and later in the same year, he was promoted to area director of sales and marketing.

His appointment to GM at the Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh Resort came in December 2013.

Khattar holds a degree in Hospitality Operations from IHTTI School of Hotel Management in Switzerland, and a Bachelor degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from the University of Bangalore.

Commenting on his new role at Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights, Khattar said: “I am thrilled to be back in Dubai with Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights. It is the newest Hyatt Regency hotel in the city and is a blend of modern design and local cultural influences. I look forward to using
