Poly Products head of marketing Balan S. talks about the company’s new launch — the Cloud Nine Symphony model of mattresses

Tell us more about your new product launches this year, and why they are important for the hospitality industry?

We have recently launched the Cloud Nine Symphony model of mattress with the seven-zone natural latex core which eliminates pressure points and improves blood circulation. We have also introduced mattresses with bamboo fibre tickings which are natural products, biodegradable and cause no environmental pollution, while being tenacious and stable.

Please elaborate on the environmentally friendly aspects of the mattress?

Organic cotton fabric, which is biologically grown with low impact on environment, is another alternative offered by us to provide a safe and healthy sleeping experience. These products are the need of the hour for the hospitality industry, as there is an increasing concern in leaving a low carbon footprint and in using as many naturally available products as possible.

When was your company established and how long it has been in the Middle East?

Poly Products was established in Oman in 1979 and is one of the largest bedding manufacturing companies in the GCC today, with a 75,000m2 factory employing around 500 people, which enables on-time smooth execution of bulk hotel orders. We primarily operate in the six GCC countries of Oman, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait and the neighbouring Arab countries in the Middle East. Having furnished over 500,000 hotel rooms across various countries and hotel chains, our brands Raha and Cloud Nine are one of the most preferred bedding brands in the hospitality industry.
